Boston Trip 2010 - Gasan Ryu Kenpo Self
Defense
and Fuji Ryu Tai Jutsu Workshop
The trip started with workshops at sensei Matt Moncreaff's school in
Acton, Massachusetts (the town Dr. Chamberlain went to high school in and
began his training in Kenpo, back in the late 1970's).
The next day was a trip to Boston, with window shopping on Newbury
street, followed by dinner in the North End
(the Italian district) with cappuccinos and cannolis for desert at Cafe
Vittorio.
Saturday was workshops at Shihan Thibault's school in Dracut followed by
a Lobster boil and clambake.
Sunday was a trip to Chinatown for Tai Chi/Chi Kung training and Dim Sum,
then later a run through Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market!

Dr. Chamberlain opened his first dojo (karate school) in Chelmsford, MA
in 1981 and has been teaching and training ever since. He holds an 8th
degree Black Belt in Kenpo and his headquarters school is in Dallas, Texas.
He returns to Dracut Kenpo Karate to share the knowledge gained from over 30
years of training with some of the worlds greatest instructors in Kenpo,
Jiu-Jitsu, Judo & Kajukenbo.
He is pleased to join his long time friend and student, Shihan George
Thibault at his dojo in Dracut, MA to present an exciting workshop on
Kenpo/Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling.
You will learn and be able to apply: Defenses from a variety of attacks
utilizing throws, takedowns and hold-downs, Ground fighting skills for the
karate student, 2 person flow drills and submissions, and both sides of the
2-person grappling kata “Corcovado”.
Special Guest Instructor Kiyoshi Takeuchi, Shihan, will join us and cover
stick and knife defenses from the Fuji-Ryu Tai-Jutsu system. He is the US.
Representative for Fuji Ryu and now lives and teaches in New York City. He
also holds Black Belt rankings in Kodokan Judo, Nakamura Ryu Batto-Do and
Kyokushin karate.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from an instructor with real cross
training experience! Come join us for some great training and have fun.
