Tarrant County College (TCC) Dojo - Adult Classes

A dojo is the school, the physical building in which instruction takes place.  The Tarrant County College (TCC) dojo is housed within the TCC Northeast Campus on 828 Harwood Road, Hurst, Texas 76054 (Campus map).  The class is held in the Gymnasium in the Combatives Room.  Phone in registration at: (817) 515-6657.  Online registration at www.tccd.edu

 The instructor at TCC is sensei Shane Whitehead.  The TCC location offers karate classes for adults.  Whether you start studying the martial arts as a child, or as an adult, we can offer superb training for you. Our curriculum is based on expert training with Black-Belt instructors. This individualized attention can help you focus on specific areas and truly develop your skills.  Besides the practical self-defense skills we teach, our system teaches respect, instills confidence through hard-work and self-discipline, and can help develop virtues of character that apply throughout your life, not just in the dojo.

Interested in classes for your child?  Sensei Shane offers classes for both children and adults at North Richland Hills Recreation Center.  The NRH location offers our 3-Steps to a Great Kid^™ program.  This is a character development program structured around a traditional martial arts curriculum, and was developed by Dr. Nick Chamberlain in conjunction with top educators.  The program is designed to fill a void often left in a child's education between their school, traditional sports and the home environment.

You can mix and match classes during the week, for example you could take weekday classes at TCC and then train at one of our other locations on the weekend.  Tuition would be the difference between the TCC charges and our regular rates listed below.
