Biography - Paul McDonough

Paul McDonough originally started his martial arts training in Quincy, Massachusetts, studying Uechi-ryu Karate-do under Senseis Forrest Sanborn and George Bosworth (1989-1990).  After attaining the rank of Green belt, Paul discontinued his studies while working on a masters and doctoral degree in Exercise Physiology (FSU, 2000).  Always intending to return to martial arts training, Paul started studying Aikido at the Kansas State University Aikikai under Senseis Jayne Thompson and Jack Hayes, attaining the rank of Sankyu (2000-2003).

Paul is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington where he teaches in the Kinesiology department.  An avid reader, music fan and movie buff, Paul also enjoys travel and language; speaking German and a little French.
