Sensei Jim Riddle began studying martial arts in college when he joined the
University of Denver Judo Club in 1995. Upon returning home to Dallas
in 1999 with a BFA degree in Graphic Communication Design, he continued
practicing Judo at the Tamura Judo Institute where he also began learning
Heike Ryu Jiu-Jitsu. It was at the Judo school that Jim Riddle met Dr.
Chamberlain at Jiu-Jitsu practice. In the summer of 2001 he began
practicing Kenpo under Dr. Chamberlain. Under the instruction of
Sensei Tamura, Sensei Jim Webb and Sensei Adam Martin, he was promoted to
Nidan in Heike Ryu in February of 2003. He was promoted to a Shodan in
Kenpo in August of 2003, and to Nidan in October of 2004. Jim has helped the school with his graphic design skills by helping to
design some of the dojo's patches and T-shirts. In addition to this,
with his strong background in Judo and Jiu-Jitsu he has helped everyone with
their throws and falls. He is seen in several of the video
technique clips for both the
Kenpo and Jiu-Jitsu styles.
