Sensei Webb was elected to the position of President of the United States Judo Association (the USJA) in January of 2006, taking over from the past president, Jim Bregman.  We are privileged to have him running the Chamberlain Studios Tamura Judo Program

Sensei Webb is the technical advisor to the CSSD Tamura Judo Program, and oversees the curriculum for the program.  In addition, he teaches the Heike Ryu Jiu-Jitsu class on Sunday afternoons at the headquarters dojo, followed by the advanced Judo skills class on Sunday evening.

He is the Treasurer of the United States Judo Association, the Secretary of the United States Judo Association Promotion Board, the Texas State Promotion Chairman, a Member of the Board of United States Judo (the National Governing Body for Judo), a Member of the United States Judo Finance Committee, and a National Referee.

Jim graduated from West Point (serving his subsequent military obligation in Special Forces) and after earning two Masters Degrees (Business and Engineering), and doing post-graduate work at MIT, is currently an internationally known business strategy consultant.  His children have won both state and national Judo titles.

In tying together his love for Judo, his experience in the special forces and his business expertise, sensei Webb has created a program for the businessman called Executive Defense.  This program is designed for corporations as a way to provide the skill set necessary to keep their executives safe during both domestic and international travel.
