Soke Larry Garron

Soke Garron has been a martial arts practitioner
for more than 50 years. He is also the same Larry Garron who was a
five time All Pro running back with the Boston Patriots professional
football team 1960-1970.
Although Professor Cerio began Hakko Ryu with
James Benko, it was with Soke Garron that he completed his training to Black
Belt.

2000: Certified as a Hachi Dan* in
Kempo by the Executive Board of the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
1999: Inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of
Fame, receiving the Golden Lifetime Achievement Award; Received Judan* by
the WMAHOF council; Inducted into the Sports Medicine Hall of Fame;
Officially recognized as Soke (creator and head of his own system); Awarded
the title of Doctor by the council.
1999: Inducted into Shihan* Rocky DiRico’s International
Hall of Fame
1993: Shihan* in Hakko Ryu Jujitsu by Nidai Soke Toshio
