Martial Arts Background:
Sensei Micciche started his Martial Arts training in early 1980 in American
Kenpo Karate, an offshoot of the Kajukenbo system. In early 1982 he
started training under Shihan Nick Chamberlain. He stayed with Shihan
Chamberlain until 1990 when he went off to Chiropractic school. From 1990
until 1993 he trained under Shihan Joseph Nesta in Nick Cerio’s Kenpo
Karate. In mid 1993 Sensei Micciche wrote a letter of intent to study
under Professor Nick Cerio. After several meetings with Professor
Cerio he accepted him as a first generation student. Sensei Micciche
studied under Professor Cerio, one on one, until his untimely passing in
October 1998.

1984 Promoted to First Degree Black Belt (Shodan) in American Kenpo Karate
by Shihan Nick Chamberlain.
1988 Promoted to Second Degree Black Belt (Nidan) in American Kenpo Karate
and First Degree Black Belt in Nick Cerio’s Kenpo Karate. Promoted by
Professor Nick Cerio.
1991 Promoted to Third Degree Black Belt (Sandan) in American Kenpo Karate
by Shihan Joseph Nesta.
1993 Promoted to Fourth Degree Black Belt (Yondan) in both American Kenpo
Karate and Nick Cerio’s Kenpo Karate. Both promotions were by Professor Nick
Cerio.
