Biography - Linn Griffin

Linn is from Lakewood, Ohio (a suburb of Cleveland).  He is a graduate of Lakewood High School and Ashland University.  During Linn’s time in Ohio, he studied Foreign Language and Business Management. 

Prior to his training with Dr. Chamberlain, Linn trained in Tracy’s Kenpo Karate and Collegiate Wrestling.  In 2002, Linn was accepted as a student under Dr. Chamberlain.  During his training, he has under taken Gasan Ryu Kenpo, Judo, Heike-Ryu-Jujitsu, Kajukenbo and Brazilian Jujitsu.  In class, Linn tends to favor a lot of the throws and matt training due to his back-round as a Collegiate Wrestler.  As well,  Linn is a childhood friend of David Range III. (David Range is a former Ohio State Buckeye wrestler who is known nation-wide for his deep single leg shot and front headlock series).  A winner of many karate tournaments,  Linn’s favorite kata is Cat III. Linn’s hobbies include Karate, Astronomy, Reading, Renaissance Art, Foreign Languages and European travel.

NEWS:
One of our Black Belts, Linn Griffin recently returned from a trip to Paris, France, where he had way too much fun and trained with the founder of Hapkido in France.  Linn is seen third from the right next to the Master.  He had great fun training and then went on a trip of Western Europe!  It's good to have him back safely.
