Pilates
Imagine an exercise program that you look forward to, that engages you,
and that leaves you refreshed and alert with a feeling of physical and
mental well-being. The Pilates method (pronounced puh-LAH-teez) of
body conditioning will do all this...and more.
Developed in the 1920's by the legendary physical trainer Joseph H.
Pilates, Pilates is an exercise system focused on improving flexibility and
strength for the total body without building bulk. At Chamberlain
Studios, the class is geared around the matt work section of Pilates, and
use of the "magic ring" shown in the picture to the right.
The Pilates method is not just exercise, however. It is a series of
controlled movements engaging your body and mind, performed under the
supervision of extensively trained teachers.
Classes are currently scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12-1
pm.
Come down and try your first class for free, meet Joanna the instructor, and see
how this new exercise program can help make a change in your life! Tuition
is $95 per month for 2 times a week, or $50 per month for 1 time a week.
Program prices are based on a three month commitment.
The drop-in rate is $15 per session. |
