Samurai Movie Night

Three or four times a year we have Samurai Movie Night!  The dojo is open for the Friday night classes from 7-8:30pm and then we start the movie at about 9:00pm.  We usually have popcorn.  Movies we have watched in the past include:

• Shaolin Soccer

• Jet Lee's - Fists of Fury

• Hero

• Zatoichi - The Blind Swordsman

• House of Flying Daggers (with Budo as preview)

• Kung Fu Hustle

• Unleashed

• ?

This movie contains some of the best close-in-fighting I've seen in a long time...great movie, however... This is a very violent movie with some pretty bad language, thus the R rating!  So no kids at this one I'm afraid. If you have a favorite movie, bring it with you and we will play some of it as a preview before the main event!  If it's really good we may use it for the next Samurai Theater, see you there!

In France this one is called "Danny the Dog", but I think Unleashed is a better title! Thanks to Paul for that tid bit of information following his recent trip to Paris.
